Halo Migration Framework

Service Dynamics employs a systematic, phased delivery model built to ensure robust governance, full transparency, and high quality throughout your Halo project. Our pragmatic framework merges specific project milestones with iterative releases, letting you verify configurations in real-time instead of waiting for a final build. The process follows five distinct stages: ranging from initial project launch to production deployment, operational handover, and official project completion.

One of the real benefits of Halo is the fast migration / implementation time. Implementations typically take between 6-12 weeks depending on scope, data migration, and integrate.

Solutions for customers that are smaller or less complex can be implemented in a matter of a few weeks. Mid-market and Enterprise customers replacing an existing ITSM system should plan on 6-12 weeks.

1

Halo Implementation Project Initiation

Establish project governance, delivery arrangements and customer readiness.

We provide end-to-end project leadership, planning, scheduling, stakeholder communication, risk management, and overall solution delivery management.

Key outcomes: Project kick-off completed, initial project plan established, governance arrangements agreed and customer input templates distributed.

2

Discovery, Validation and Design

  • Understand your business and functional requirements to guide solution design and configuration.

  • Define the solution and plan the incremental delivery.

  • This phase also confirms the implementation scope and validates the estimated effort for in-scope functionality and services.

Key outcomes: Agreed functional requirements, approved solution design, validated reference data and an incremental delivery plan.

3

Configuration and Testing

  • Configure, validate and progressively release solution components for customer testing.

  • Configure and implement your Halo solution, including workflows, forms, automation, service catalogues, and platform functionality aligned to your requirements.

  • Migrate data and in-flight tickets from the existing platform into Halo to support a seamless transition.

  • Configure integrations with supporting business systems, such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, and other agreed third-party applications.

Key Outcomes: Configured solution, System Test Report with pass/fail against functional requirements, resolved critical defects and incremental releases ready for acceptance testing.

4

Transition Readiness and Training

  • Support user acceptance, prepare users and establish production readiness.

  • We support you throughout User Acceptance Testing, including issue resolution, configuration refinement, and validation of business requirements.

  • Deliver administrator and service desk agent training through a combination of instructor-led remote sessions and Halo University's online training content.

  • Develop end-user training content and provide train-the-trainer sessions to enable you to deliver end-user training internally.

Key outcomes: UAT sign-off, completed training activities, approved cutover plan and confirmed production readiness.

5

Production Release / Launch and HyperCare

Deploy the solution into production, provide HyperCare and transition into ongoing operational support. HyperCare (typically 1-2 weeks) provides enhanced support during and immediately after production go-live to ensure a smooth transition, resolve issues quickly, and optimise platform adoption.

Key outcomes: Live production solution, completed HyperCare, BAU handover, and formal implementation project closure.
